I went to Sunday school and church as a young child. At 11 years old I "clearly heard" a sermon designed for me that convicted me that I was lost and needed a Savior. I was baptized and continued to attend church with my Mother until I got married. My husband had also been raised in a Baptist Church, made a profession of faith and was baptized at an early age. Although we attended church through the years, our level of commitment to Christ was not growing, as it should have. Yet, GOD is a GOD of mercy and drew us to a Lay Mission in 1974 and we discovered the void. We realized Jesus was not really LORD of every aspect of our lives and then recommitted our lives to JESUS as LORD of ALL. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
I have always loved little children and wanted the best for each one. I had volunteered in the church nursery often and shortly after the Lay Mission I was asked to become the church nursery director. GOD was truly beginning a new work in my life. I could not birth more children forever and HE was giving me the opportunity to love little children over and over again. After three years as church nursery director, I was asked to become the full time Preschool Director. There were many similarities to the church nursery work, but also vast differences in terms of standards and legalities. We all know no rose is without it's thorns, but I have been the recipient of more blessings than I could every count throughout my service of 32 years, now serving in my fourth preschool ministry.
